Devil's Den

"On a cold winter morning you can see steam, like smoke, rising from the chimney.  Thus, the early settlers gave the name Devil's Den.  Crystal clear water, year round 72 degree temperatures, ancient rock formations with stalactites, fossil beds, and much more.  Devil's Den is truly a natural wonder.  Bring the family and enjoy a day of fun and relaxation at Devil's Den.  All divers must be Open Water certified, sign release, have proper training, and follow rules and regulations."

Kanapaha Botanical Gardens

As some other Gainesville residents have mentioned, there are better gardens out there in the US, but this one is still darn good for a town of Gainesville's size, or any size for that matter - it's by far the best in the area and definitely worth checking out for anyone who loves the outdoors.

There is a good variety of exhibits - rose gardens, herbs, bamboo gardens, camellias, etc.  For a more detailed listing check out their website.  The path that takes you to each part of the gardens is itself a pleasant nature walk.  There are fields perfect for a picnic lunch or relaxing.  I *think* pets are welcome as well on a leash; not 100% sure of that.

There are also nice festivals you can attend here - Rose shows, camellia festivals, the spring garden festival and the orchid festival stand out in my mind.  For the $6 admission fee, definitely worth checking out at least once.

This Old House

I ♥ this old house!  I pass it twice a day, nearly everyday & have for the last 7+ years--it "speaks" to me so I photograph it every year.  What a treasure the property owner has in his/her possession.

Contact Me....

This is my OFFICIAL business card!  I am so happy with the results!  The business name, slogan, my name, phone number, business e-mail, & blog website are all on the back.  I opted to leave the front like this to showcase recent 'furtography' sessions.  My business card looks like an actual photograph, I ♥ it!!!  A big THANK YOU to The Print Shop in Chiefland, Florida.

My 21 year old tuxedo cat Duchovny (center photo) was the motivation for opening this business.  I wanted a furr-ever keepsake of my very best FUR-iend! ♥ ♥ ♥
